Who we are
GJ Creative is Mark and Margaret Glynne-Jones.
Founder Mark Glynne-Jones is a 2D, 3D, interior and exterior designer with a lifelong passion for creativity over many years and locations.
With an honours degree in Visual Communication and being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, he combines skill, imagination and a deep appreciation of history.
Growing up surrounded by art, music and literature and with a family heritage steeped in creativity (architect and colleague of William Morris who designed law courts in Strand, court painter to William IV etc), Mark understands how the spaces we inhabit shape our personalities, interaction with others and wellbeing.
Our designs bring together innovation, practicality and a timeless style to create interiors and gardens that are thoughtful, inspiring and enduring.
With many years of experience in the world of creative branding, global events and having owned and renovated houses in Cornwall, Oxfordshire, Rutland and North Wales he and Margaret bring something very unique to a brief, a deep understanding of the needs of a client, guest or corporate audience.
Drawing on many years’ experience working alongside the Royal Horticultural Society at the internationally renowned RHS Chelsea Flower Show, RHS Malvern and RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, as well as the iconic Ideal Home Exhibition, the studio brings a thoughtful and artistic approach to the design of interiors and gardens no matter their size.
Each project is approached with a sensitivity to setting, history and atmosphere. The guiding idea is simple: that houses and gardens should feel naturally connected. By bringing together colour, materials, planting and light, both interiors and landscapes are shaped as one continuous experience, creating spaces that reflect the personality of their owners and the spirit of place.
